Abstract
Un proceso para producir una sal de hexafluorofosfato comprende neutralizar ácido hexafluorofosfórico con una base Lewis orgánica, para obtener una sal de hexafluorofosfato orgánica. La sal de hexafluorofosfato orgánica se hace reaccionar con un hidróxido alcalino seleccionado de hidróxido de metal alcalino (diferente de LiOH) y un hidróxido de metal alcalinotérreo, en un medio de suspensión no acuoso, para obtener una sal de hexafluorofosfato alcalina como un precipitado. Una fase líquida que comprende el medio de suspensión no acuoso, cualquier base Lewis orgánica no reaccionada y cualquier agua que se ha formado durante la reacción para formar el precipitado, se remueve. De esta manera, se recupera la sal de hexafluorofosfato alcalina.
