Abstract

La invención divulga un procedimiento que permite disminuir significativamente los tiempos de lixiviación de minerales primarios y secundarios de cobre chancados con una granulometría entre 80% bajo 12mm a 80% bajo 3mm en que se utiliza para lixiviar minerales sulfurados de cobre conteniendo mineralización primaria y/o secundaria de cobre como Calcopirita, Bornita y Covelina, donde el procedimiento comprende: un primer proceso de aglomeración en que la solución de aglomeración es una mezcla de agua de mar, salina u otro tipo de agua con solución recirculada; un segundo proceso de curado en pila a continuación del proceso anterior de aglomeración en que la mezcla agua de mar, salina u otro tipo de agua, cloruro de calcio, ácido sulfúrico y solución recirculada es alimentada a temperaturas mayores 30oC y menores que 60oC; un tercer proceso de lixiviación en pilas que contiene solución recirculada a continuación del proceso anterior de curado en que la solución recirculada de riego de la pila entra a una temperatura mayor a 30°C y menor que 60oC; un cuarto proceso de lavado en pilas con solución de refino a continuación del proceso anterior de lixiviación en pilas en que la solución de refino de riego de la pila anteriormente tratada con solución recirculada y anteriormente calentada a temperaturas mayores que 30oC, después de pasar por el proceso de extracción por solvente también entra a la pila como solución de refino a una temperatura mayor a 30oC y menor que 60°C.
