Abstract
Un método para operar un horno de cuba incluye insertar una mezcla que incluye carbón de antracita y coque en una cavidad definida por el horno, y colocar una materia prima metálica dentro de la cavidad. El método incluye inyectar gas natural a una velocidad de flujo del gas natural y una primera cantidad de gas oxígeno a una primera velocidad del gas oxígeno en la cavidad, de manera simultánea a través de al menos un quemador.
