Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método mejorado, para la producción a gran escala de proteínas y/o polipéptidos en un cultivo celular. De conformidad con la presente invención, el método permite cultivar células que presentan una modificación metabólica. El uso de tal método o sistema permite la producción de altas concentraciones de la proteína o polipéptido de interés y reduce la acumulación de desechos metabólicos no deseados, tales como el lactato. Las proteínas y polipéptidos expresados de conformidad con la presente invención, se pueden utilizar ventajosamente en la preparación de composiciones farmacéuticas, inmunogénicas, u otras composiciones biológicas comerciales, tales como anticuerpos.
