Abstract
Se provee un aparato de procesamiento de imagen y un método de procesamiento de imagen que pueden transmitir/recibir o visualizar una imagen de alto rango dinámico de manera adecuada. Un aparato de transmisión de imagen transfiere, como metadatos de contenido, información de conversión de luminancia, que es para la conversión de contenido de HDR (por ejemplo, con luminancia máxima de 2000 nits) a contenido de HDR (que tiene, por ejemplo, 100 nits), o información diferencial. Con base de los metadatos, un aparato de recepción de imagen genera información de conversión de luminancia, en la cual el contenido de HDR recibido es adaptado a una capacidad de una pantalla (por ejemplo, con luminancia máxima de 500 nits o 1000 nits) en un destino de salida, y realiza mapeo de pantalla que no es contrario a la intención de un productor.
