Abstract

Se divulga un proceso para preparar biomasa densificada torrefactada y/o biosólidos densificados torrefactados que comprende de aproximadamente 2% a aproximadamente 25% p/p de líquido combustible. El proceso implica densificar la biomasa y/o los biosólidos, o proporcionar una biomasa densificada y/o los biosólidos densificados, y sumergir el material densificado en un líquido combustible caliente durante aproximadamente 2 a aproximadamente 120 minutos hasta que el material densificado esté torrefactado. El líquido combustible puede derivarse de cualquier fuente ejemplificada por un aceite como aquellos derivados de fuentes vegetales, marinas y animales, o alternativamente, un producto de petróleo. El líquido combustible se calienta a una temperatura en el intervalo de aproximadamente 160°C a aproximadamente 320°C antes de la inmersión del material de biomasa densificado. También se divulga una biomasa densificada torrefactada y/o los biosólidos densificados torrefactados que comprenden de aproximadamente 2% a aproximadamente 25% p/p de líquido combustible.
