Abstract
Se describe un método para crear y producir a un mapa paramétrico enmascarado (por ejemplo, oxigenación de hemoglobina) que refleja parámetros en un primer mapa paramétrico (por ejemplo, oxigenación relativa) y un segundo mapa paramétrico (por ejemplo, hemoglobina relativa). En una modalidad ilustrativa, el método comprende etapas de generar un primer mapa paramétrico, generar un segundo mapa paramétrico y luego generar un mapa paramétrico enmascarado que refleja parámetros en el primer y segundo mapas paramétricos. El mapa enmascarado puede presentar información que no está fácilmente disponible del primer y segundo mapa paramétrico y que no se puede obtener del primer y segundo mapa paramétrico independientemente. El primer mapa paramétrico se puede basar en porciones de dos imágenes optoacústicas creadas usando diferentes longitudes de onda de luz. El primer mapa paramétrico refleja áreas dentro del volumen de tejido que tienen una respuesta diferente al evento de luz con longitud de onda más larga en comparación con el de longitud de onda más corta. El segundo mapa paramétrico refleja áreas dentro del volumen de tejido que tienen una respuesta más fuerte a los eventos de luz con longitud de onda más larga y más corta que las áreas circundantes.
