Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método y aparato para codificar un mapa de profundidad de datos de video de varios puntos de vista, y un método y aparato para decodificar el mapa de profundidad codificado. El método para codificar un mapa de profundidad de datos de video de varios puntos de vista de acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención incluye: dividir un bloque de cuadros de video a color de varios puntos de vista recuperado en divisiones con base en valores de pixel del bloque de cuadros de video a color de varios puntos de vista codificado predictivamente y recuperado; obtener parámetros que indiquen una correlación usando valores de pixel de pixeles periféricos alrededor de las divisiones del bloque de cuadros de video a color de varios puntos de vista y valores de pixel de pixeles periféricos alrededor de divisiones de un bloque de cuadros de mapas de profundidad que correspondan a las divisiones del cuadro de video a color de varios puntos de vista, y obtener valores de predicción para las divisiones correspondientes del bloque de cuadros de mapas de profundidad a partir de las divisiones del bloque de cuadros de video a color de varios puntos de vista recuperado usando los parámetros obtenidos.
