Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para fabricar un almidón de hidroxietilo modificado que lleva un residuo de ácido heptónico en al menos uno de sus extremos. De acuerdo con la invención, las siguientes etapas se llevan a cabo: a) disolver el almidón de hidroxietilo en agua, b) ajustar el valor de pH a un valor de 8.0 a 10.0, c) agregar un compuesto de cianuro a la solución de almidón de hidroxietilo, calentar la solución a una temperatura de 80 a 99°C y mantenerla a esta temperatura durante un primer periodo de tiempo, y d) ajustar el valor de pH a un valor de 2.0 a 4.0, llevar la solución a una temperatura de 50 a 90°C y mantenerla a esta temperatura durante un segundo periodo de tiempo.
