Abstract

La invención se refiere a un dispositivo de almacenamiento a largo plazo (1) destinado a recibir una caja de contención (3) que contiene materiales radioactivos, donde este dispositivo incluye un cuerpo principal (2) que tiene una superficie interior delimitando un alojamiento (7); de acuerdo con la invención, en una configuración descargada, en la cual la caja de contención que contiene materiales radioactivos está ausente del dispositivo de almacenamiento, esta última incluye una caja de almacenamiento (9) delimitando una cavidad (4) para recibir la caja de contención, donde el dispositivo de almacenamiento también incluye medios de ventilación que permiten que el aire circule entre el exterior del dispositivo de almacenamiento y un espacio delimitado entre la superficie interior del cuerpo principal y la caja de almacenamiento (9).
