Una planta con tornillo de Arquímedes (10) para la separación de lodos. La planta (10) comprende: un dispositivo tubular de cribado (11); un dispositivo de alimentación de lodos (31); un dispositivo (21) para la evacuación de la fracción liquida; un dispositivo (19, 22) para la evacuación del solido separado sustancialmente seco. La planta (10) está caracterizada porque el dispositivo (11) comprende una cámara de compactación superior (19) del solido separado donde es formado un bloque sólido de producto. Además, el dispositivo tubular de cribado (11) tienen una abertura superior (22) que está provista de un elemento auxiliar de contraste (40) para formar dicho bloque sólido de producto.
