Abstract
Las composiciones y métodos incluyen codificar y expresar genéticamente una desaturasa delta-9 novedosa en células de planta. En algunas modalidades, los métodos para expresar ácidos nucleicos en una célula de la planta, toman la ventaja de la actividad de la enzima de desaturasa delta-9, de modo que se disminuya el porcentaje en la composición de los ácidos grasos saturados en las semillas de la planta y exista un incremento concomitante en los ácidos grasos w-7.
