Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método que incluye recibir mediciones de elementos biológicos a partir de una muestra de sangre de un paciente. Los elementos biológicos respectivos son dirigidos por el sistema endócrino, el cual es organizable en ejes que incluyen ejes corticotrópicos, ejes gonadotrópicos, ejes tireotrópicos y ejes somatotrópicos. El método incluye calcular una pluralidad de índices como funciones de las mediciones. Los índices reflejan relaciones fisiológicas entre los elementos biológicos y las hormonas que dirigen los elementos biológicos respectivos, y al menos uno de los índices refleja las relaciones fisiológicas entre las hormonas a través de los ejes del sistema endocrino. El método también incluye evaluar los índices por los ejes del sistema endocrino para facilitar la identificación de una o más disfunciones capaces de participar en la génesis, instalación y desarrollo de una patología, y de este modo formular un diagnóstico del paciente. Y el método incluye administrar una terapia al paciente de conformidad con el diagnóstico.
