Abstract

La invención se refiere a composiciones farmacéuticas oftálmicas en microemulsión capaz de portar ingredientes activos liposolubles o pobremente solubles en agua, que contienen un agente emulsificante que consiste de un succinato de polietilenglicol d-a-tocoferílico 1000 (TPGS), un componente oleoso que consiste de triglicéridos de cadena media (MCT) y una fase acuosa oftalmológicamente aceptable. La invención además se refiere a composiciones oftálmicas para usar un sustituto de lágrimas, formulado similarmente a las composiciones previas pero sin un ingrediente farmacéuticamente activo y que contiene, en la fase acuosa, polímeros de polisacáridos o derivados de celulosa conocidos como componentes para lágrimas artificiales, las preparaciones descritas son sistemas auto-emulsionantes (SMEDDS) caracterizados por una alta estabilidad y por una concentración particularmente baja de agente tensioactivo y son adecuadas para administración ocular tópica.
