Abstract

La presente invención proporciona composiciones y métodos relacionados con el uso del control de la expresión génica mediada por sulfonilurea. Las composiciones incluyen interruptores químicos sensibles a la sulfonilurea, en donde la expresión génica está regulada por un compuesto de sulfonilurea. Las composiciones incluyen, además, polinucleótidos que codifican los polipéptidos así como también constructos, vectores, células procariotas y eucariotas y organismos eucariotas que incluyen plantas y semillas que comprenden el polinucleótido y/o producidas por los métodos. Además, se proporcionan métodos para regular la expresión de un polinucleótido de interés en una célula u organismo y métodos para modificar un genoma, inclusive en una planta o célula vegetal.
