Abstract

Al enfriar el ácido que se extrae desde un aparato de absorción de una planta de ácido sulfúrico, el ácido se bombea desde un tanque de bomba de ácido hacia un intercambiador de calor y después es nuevamente suministrado al aparato de absorción, en donde el agua como medio de transporte de calor se calienta en el intercambiador de calor con el calor del ácido y, al menos, en forma parcial se convierte en vapor, y en donde el agua se separa del vapor. Se provee que el ácido se suministre a un espacio de reserva del intercambiador de calor y que el agua se suministre a los elementos de transmisión de calor dispuestos en el espacio de reserva y al menos parcialmente convertida en vapor, en que el vapor generado en el intercambiador de calor se separa del agua en un colector de vapor y en donde el agua obtenida de esta forma se recircula al intercambiador de calor por medio de una bomba.
