Abstract

El método comprende: adquirir una imagen de una primera y/o una segunda cara de un documento de identidad para un espectro de luz visible utilizando una cámara de un dispositivo portátil; leer automáticamente, en dicha imagen adquirida, unos caracteres MRZ, y/o caracteres VIZ; y identificar el tipo o modelo de dicho documento de identidad, comenzando por corregir distorsiones de perspectiva causadas por una mala posición relativa del documento de identidad respecto a la cámara, con el fin de obtener una imagen corregida y sustancialmente rectangular de la primera y/o segunda cara del documento, a una escala predeterminada que se utiliza para realizar dicha identificación del tipo o modelo del documento de identidad y la lectura e identificación de información textual y/o no textual, de manera automática, incluida en dicha imagen corregida y sustancialmente rectangular. El sistema está adaptado para implementar el método propuesto.
