Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con métodos para producir un ácido dicarboxílico de 4 átomos de carbono que comprende: (a) cultivar una célula hospedadora de hongo filamentoso que comprende un polinucleótido que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de un primer polinucleótido heterólogo que codifica para un transportador de ácido dicarboxílico de 4 átomos de carbono, un segundo polinucleótido heterólogo que codifica para una malato deshidrogenasa y un tercer polinucleótido heterólogo que codifica para una piruvato carboxilasa; en donde la célula hospedadora de hongo filamentoso es capaz de secretar concentraciones aumentadas del ácido dicarboxílico de 4 átomos de carbono en comparación con la célula hospedadora de hongo filamentoso sin el polinucleótido heterólogo cuando se cultiva bajo las mismas condiciones; y (b) recuperar el ácido dicarboxílico de 4 átomos de carbono. La presente invención también se relaciona con métodos para incrementar la producción de ácido dicarboxílico de 4 átomos de carbono, células hospedadoras de hongos filamentosos y variantes de malato deshidrogenasa.
