Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones de polipropileno que tienen una amplia distribución de peso molecular con una cantidad relativamente alta de material soluble en xileno; las composiciones tienen una Mw/Mn de 5 o mayor, pero de preferencia mayor de 5.5, y más preferiblemente mayor de 6.0; las composiciones tienen materiales solubles en xileno de 5.0 a 8.0 por ciento en peso, de preferencia de 5.5 a 8.0 por ciento en peso, y más preferiblemente de 6.0 a 7.5% en peso; los polímeros de la presente invención son particularmente adecuados para aplicaciones de polipropileno biaxialmente orientado.
