Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para cambiar la capacidad de una planta para adaptarse a cambios en la concentración de zinc en el ambiente, especialmente el suelo, que comprende proporcionar a la planta un nucleótido de acuerdo con SEQ ID NO:1 o SEQ ID NO:2 o un ortólogo del mismo. Este método es especialmente útil para reducir deficiencia de Zn o para (hiper)acumular Zn en plantas para biorremediación o para biofortificación. Se describen también plantas transgénicas para estas proteínas.
