Abstract

La presente invención se dirige a un aparato buscador de causas de falla de arco eléctrico y método para determinar la causa de una condición de falla de arco eléctrico. En una modalidad, el aparato buscador de causas de falla de arco eléctrico tiene un módulo base de detección montado en una caja de panel de carga que tiene por lo menos un disyuntor de circuito que protege a un circuito de derivación correspondiente. El módulo de detección tiene electrónica de detección que se conecta de manera eléctrica por lo menos a un disyuntor de circuito y se configura para detectar la ocurrencia de eventos de arco eléctrico en el circuito de derivación. El módulo base de detección incluye electrónica de comunicación inalámbrica para (i) efectuar transmisión de señales eléctricas que proporcionen información sobre la ocurrencia o ausencia de eventos de arco eléctrico en el circuito de derivación, y (ii) recibir señales de comando. El aparato buscador de causas de falla de arco eléctrico también tiene un módulo de interfaz de usuario remoto que tiene electrónica de comunicación inalámbrica configurada para establecer comunicación con el módulo base de detección para recibir señales transmitidas por el módulo base de detección y para transmitir las señales de control al módulo base de detección. El módulo de interfaz de usuario remoto tiene un dispositivo de pantalla visual para visualizar información recibida del módulo base detección sobre el circuito de derivación.
