Abstract

A process for drying waste biomass to be used as fuel in the clinker manufacture, which comprises the reception of humid biomass material and the discharge thereof in an encapsulated tank; the homogenization of the material and the supply thereof to a hopper; the material is led to a constant level hopper; the material is passed by a deagglomerator before being supplied to the dryer; the invention is characterised in that the hot gases are moved and introduced into a dryer chamber along with the material for performing the thermal exchange of the gases with the material and drying the biomass for a variable dwelling time in the dryer, then the biomass and the hot gases being separated. The dried biomass is led to the pre-heater and the main burner.
