Abstract
Se describen técnicas para mitigar la contaminación de piloto en una red inalámbrica. En un aspecto, la contaminación de piloto puede mitigarse al reducir la densidad y/o potencia de transmisión de pilotos comunes siempre que sea posible. Una celda puede enviar una piloto común en una primera densidad y en un primer nivel de potencia de transmisión durante un primer periodo de tiempo y puede enviar la piloto común en una segunda densidad y un segundo nivel de potencia de transmisión durante un segundo periodo de transmisión. La segunda densidad puede ser menor que la primera densidad y/o el segundo nivel de potencia de transmisión puede ser menor que el primer nivel de potencia de transmisión. Puede lograrse una menor densidad al enviar la piloto común menos frecuentemente, en menos subportadoras, y/o desde menos antenas. La celda puede determinar si reduce o no la densidad y/o potencia de transmisión de la piloto común con base en la carga de red, las SINRs de las terminales, etc. En otro aspecto, la contaminación de piloto puede mitigarse al realizar la cancelación de piloto en una terminal.
