Abstract

En el campo de la ingeniería genética en plantas se describen, incluso combinaciones de polinucleótidos que codifican LMP para mejorar los rasgos agronómicos, hortícolas y de calidad. También a la combinación de polinucleótidos que codifican proteínas que se relacionan con la presencia de compuestos de almacenamiento en semillas en plantas. Más específicamente, con polinucleótidos LMP que codifican proteínas del metabolismo de los lípidos (LMP) y el uso de estas combinaciones de estas secuencias, su orden y dirección en la combinación, y los elementos reguladores utilizados para el control de la expresión y la terminación de la transcripción en estas combinaciones en las plantas transgénicas. En particular, a métodos para manipular compuestos relacionados con ácidos grasos y para aumentar los niveles de aceite y almidón, y para alterar la composición de ácidos grasos en plantas y semillas. Además a métodos para utilizar estas nuevas combinaciones de polipéptidos para estimular el crecimiento de la planta y/o el crecimiento de la raíz y/o para aumentar el rendimiento y/o la composición de compuestos de almacenamiento en semillas.
