Abstract
Se proporciona un codificador/descodificador más eficiente en el cual se mapea una transformada MDCT de N puntos en transformadas DCT-IV, DST-IV y/o DCT-II de N/2 puntos de menor tamaño. La MDCT puede diezmarse sistemáticamente por factor de 2 al utilizar una función central DCT-II de cinco puntos escalada de manera uniforme en comparación con DCT-IV o núcleos de FFT utilizados en muchos diseños existentes de MDCT en códecs de audio.
