Abstract

Se proporciona un codificador/decodificador m?s eficiente en el cual una transformada MDCT de N puntos se mapea en transformadas de DCT-II y/o de DCT-IV de N/2 puntos m?s peque?as con pre-multiplicaciones aisladas que pueden desplazarse a una etapa anterior o subsecuente de aplicaci?n en ventanas. Es decir, las operaciones de aplicaci?n en ventanas pueden combinarse con las multiplicaciones de primera/?ltima etapa en las funciones de MDCT/IMDCT centrales, respectivamente, reduciendo as? el n?mero total de multiplicaciones. Adem?s, el MDCT puede diezmarse sistem?ticamente por un factor de 2 utilizando una funci?n de centro de DCT-II de 5 puntos escalada uniformemente contrariamente a los centros de DCT-IV o FFT utilizados en muchos dise?os existentes de MDCT en c?decs de audio. La etapa de aplicaci?n en ventanas modificada combina los factores de una etapa de transformada y la etapa de aplicaci?n en ventanas a fin de obtener factores de aplicaci?n en ventanas sim?tricas pieza por pieza, lo cual puede representarse por un sub-conjunto de los factores de aplicaci?n en ventanas sim?tricas pieza por pieza a fin de ahorrar espacio de almacenamiento.
