Abstract
La invención se refiere a un dispositivo de puerta resistente al calor para cerrar una cámara de horno de coque horizontal, dicho dispositivo está hecho con un material a prueba de fuego, en donde se utiliza particularmente un material que contiene sílice o un material que contiene sílice y óxido de aluminio; el material tiene un bajo coeficiente de expansión de temperatura y tiene buenas propiedades de aislamiento de calor, de manera que la puerta no se dobla ni se deforma durante el proceso de coquificación; el dispositivo de puerta está configurado por una pared de horno de coque que rodea la puerta, que se localiza sustancialmente arriba de la puerta y una puerta móvil que se localiza detrás de la misma; de esta manera entra menos aire ambiental frío a la cámara del horno de coque durante la descarga de coque y se reduce al mínimo la pérdida de radiación; la puerta puede comprender una convexidad elipsoidal, con la cual puede ser descargado el carbón más fácilmente dentro de la cámara de coquificación; la pared del horno que rodea la cámara del horno también puede estar hecha con un material a prueba de fuego que contiene sílice o un material a prueba de fuego que contiene sílice y óxido de aluminio.
