Abstract
Se forma un poliol modificado con polímero, para uso como un material de partida para una espuma de poliuretano, por hacer reaccionar una olamina, tal como trietanolamina, con un isocianato en la presencia de un catalizador orgánico de metal. El catalizador es una sal metálica de un ácido orgánico y la viscosidad del poliol modificado con polímero es por lo menos 2250 mPa.s. En una modalidad el catalizador es uno de la fórmula M(O.CO.R.CH3)2 donde M es un metal y R es una cadena de carbono de 6 a 20 carbonos. Una sal metálica de ácido graso monohidroxi, particularmente ácido ricinoleico puede ser usado.
