Abstract

A nivel general, la presente invención se relaciona con el campo de la biología molecular y tiene que ver con un método para mejorar varios atributos relacionados con el rendimiento que son económicamente importantes en las plantas. Más específicamente, la presente invención tiene que ver con un método para mejorar varios atributos relacionados con el rendimiento que son económicamente importantes en las plantas en relación con plantas control, al aumentar la expresión en una planta de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido que mejora el rendimiento (YEP). El YEP puede ser un polipéptido de TCP Clase I, o un polipéptido CAH3 o un polipéptido CLAVATA1 (CLB1) con un dominio C terminal no funcional. La presente invención también tiene que ver con plantas que tienen expresión aumentada de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica un YEP, cuyas plantas tienen atributos relacionados con el rendimiento aumentado en las plantas en relación con plantas control. La invención proporciona también constructos útiles en los métodos de la invención.
