Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método de inertización para reducir el riesgo de que se inicie un incendio en un espacio cerrado (10), así como un dispositivo para poner en práctica el método. Con el objetivo de especificar, un sistema de inertización para un espacio cerrado (10) que, por una parte, obtiene una disminución efectiva en el riesgo de que se inicie un incendio, por medio de una inertización continua del espacio cerrado (10) y que, por otra parte, puede limitar la protección preventiva de incendios, efectuada por esa inertización continua a zonas espacialmente separadas del espacio cerrado, según sea necesario, sin que sean necesarias separaciones estructurales para lograrlo; se provee de acuerdo con la presente invención, para introducir dentro del espacio cerrado (10) por lo menos un gas inerte que tiene una densidad de gas (?Gas) que difiere de la densidad media de gas (?Gas) de la atmósfera ambiental del espacio (10), de manera que se forme una estratificación de gas que consiste de una primera capa de gas (A) y una segunda capa de gas (B) en el espacio cerrado (10); donde el contenido de oxígeno de la primera capa de gas (A) corresponde sustancialmente al contenido de oxígeno de la segunda capa de gas (B) corresponde a un contenido de oxígeno específico, definible, que es menor que el contenido de oxígeno de la atmósfera ambiental.
