Abstract

Se describen un método y sistema para implementar técnicas de entradas múltiples y salidas múltiples (MIMO) virtuales para usuarios múltiples para unidades de transmisión/recepción inalámbricas (WTRU) que tienen una o más antenas. El sistema incluye una estación base y al menos una WTRU que tiene al menos dos antenas. El número de antenas de la estación base no es menor que el número de antenas de cualquiera de la WTRU. La estación base genera una matriz de canal para las WTRU y procesa las señales recibidas de las WTRU sobre la base de una medición de la matriz de canal. Las WTRU pueden efectuar precodificación de transmisión o formación de haz propia usando la información de la matriz de canal. Las WTRU también pueden efectuar diversidad de transmisión.
