Abstract

The present invention refers to a fertilising composition supported on clay based on secondary nutrients and micronutrients, which comprises from about 11% to about 28% of iron, from about 1% to about 18% of zinc, from about 0.1% to about 7% of manganese, from about 1% to about 4% of boron, from about 0.5% to about 4% of copper, from about 0.1% to about 1% of molybdenum, from about 7% to about 10% of sulphur, from about 2% to about 9% of calcium, from about 2% to about 8% of magnesium and from about 45% to about 60 % of clays, the whole percentages being based on the total weight of the fertiliser. Almost all the aforementioned compounds are sulphates mixed with clays mainly including kaolinite, esmectite (montmorillonite), mica, hematite, talc and orthoclase. The inventive product is highly soluble, having a hardness of from about 1.9 kg/cm2 to about 2.3 kg/cm2 which allows the same to support the handling thereof during the production, packaging, transport and application activities . The solid fertiliser has a high capacity of cationic exchange provided by clays from the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The use of said clays has shown in the practice, after several years of experience, that the dissolution of nutrients is performed gradually and at a suitable speed for being absorbed by plants; also the low pH produced when nutrients are solubilized allows said nutrients to be assimilated in alkaline soils.
