Abstract
Se describe una composición fácilmente manejable para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas que permite lograra el ocultamiento de la superficie base, la adhesión del revestimiento y la resistencia a la corrosión igual o mayor que las obtenidas por las composiciones de tratamiento de superficies metálicas convencionales. Esta composición para tratamiento de superficies metálicas no representa una preocupación para el ambiente. También se describe un método para tratar la superficie de un material metálico en donde se utiliza tal composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas y un material metálico tratado mediante tal método de tratamiento de superficies metálicas. Se describe específicamente una composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas utilizada para el tratamiento de una superficie metálica, cuya composición contiene un compuesto de zirconio y/o un compuesto de titanio sin contener sustancialmente flúor y un ácido inorgánico y/o sal del mismo. Esta composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas tiene un pH de no menos de 1.5 pero no mayor de 6.5.
