Abstract
Se describe una composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas que permite formar una película de revestimiento por conversión química que logra suficiente ocultamiento de la superficie base, adhesión del revestimiento y resistencia a la corrosión. También se describe un método para tratar la superficie de un material metálico en donde se utiliza tal composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas. Se describe específicamente una composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas utilizada para el tratamiento de una superficie metálica, cuya composición contiene un compuesto de zirconio y/o un compuesto de titanio y un compuesto de poliamina que tiene un número promedio de peso molecular no menos a 150 pero no mayor a 500,000. El compuesto de poliamina contiene no menos de 0.1 milimoles pero no más de 17 milimoles de un grupo amino primario y/o secundario por 1g del contenido sólido, y el contenido del compuesto de zirconio y/o el compuesto de titianio en la composición para el tratamiento de superficies metálicas no es menor a 10 ppm, pero no mayor a 10,000 ppm en términos de elementos metálicos. La relación de masa del elemento de zirconio y/o el elemento de titanio contenida en el compuesto de zirconio y/o el compuesto de titanio en relación al compuesto de poliamina no es menor a 0.1, pero no mayor a 100.
