Abstract
Una maquina para hacer hielo que tiene una superficie de formar hielo sobre la cual el hielo es formado, un sistema de refrigeracion que incluye un evaporador de micro-canales que enfria la superficie para formar el hielo y un sistema de suministro de agua; el evaporador de micro-canales incluye un tubo de micro-canales que facilita un efecto de enfriamiento distribuido en un area de contacto entre el tubo de micro-canales y la superficie para formar el hielo; en algunas modalidades, el tubo de micro-canales incluye una serie de porciones agujeradas que definen las regiones aisladas y dividen el tubo en regiones no aisladas; las regiones aisladas y no aisladas pueden ser dimensionadas para formar cubos de hielo individuales en la superficie para formar hielo; en otras modalidades, los espacios entre los tubos de micro-canales y/o los espacios entre la superficie para formar hielo y los tubos de micro-canales pueden formar regiones aisladas que definen por lo menos parcialmente el tamano y forma del hielo producido por la maquina para hacer hielo; la superficie que forma el hielo puede estar unida a los tubos de micro-canales mediante material de union cohesivo y/o adhesivo (tal como pegamento, resina epoxi, u otro adhesivo).
