Abstract

The invention relates to agriculture, namely to a process for pre-sowing treatment of carrot seeds.The process, according to the invention, comprises soaking of seeds before sowing for 15 min in a 0.01% aqueous solution of iridoid glycosides, obtained from Melampyrum nemorosum L. plants by extraction upon heating with 60% ethanol, separation by gel filtration on sephadex G-25 and G-50, using water as eluent, combination of eluates, containing iridoid glycosides, and evaporation in vacuo.
