Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'une bande mince de coulée présentant au moins une microstructure sélectionnée dans le groupe constitué par la ferrite polygonale, la ferrite aciculaire, la ferrite de Widmanstätten, la bainite et la martinsite, une rugosité de surface inférieure à 1,5 microns Ra et une épaisseur de calamine inférieure à environ 10 microns, lequel procédé consiste à appliquer un mélange d'eau et d'huile sur les cylindres de travail du laminoir à chaud, à faire passer la bande mince de coulée à une température inférieure à 1 100 °C à travers le laminoir à chaud dont les cylindres de travail sont enduits du mélange d'huile et d'eau et à protéger la bande mince de coulée des cylindres de coulée à travers le laminoir à chaud dans une atmosphère contenant moins de 5 % d'oxygène pour former la bande mince de coulée.
