Skywalker nearly trips over himself trying to vacate his own but by then Rex is already almost on him. "WHO DID YOU TELL?" he barks. Fingers that barely feel like his own fist around the fabric of Skywalker's tabards and yank until they're at eye-level with each other, and Rex knows his teeth must be showing. "WHO?"

- The whump is going to be a lot more significant in this chapter than it was in the last one. The first one was a lot of Sidious telling Obi-Wan what he was planning to do. He is no longer just talking about some of those things. Once again, PLEASE MIND THE TAGS.
- I have rough plans for a third part, HOWEVER: I have no idea when that will get done. That said, I intentionally gave this chapter a hopeful ending just like i promised y'all in the meantime.

I was tagged a couple of days ago by @the-starry-seas with the word ‘north’ <3 Whumptober is still pretty much all I’ve been working on trying to make sure the next part is ready to post on time, so these’ll be from that.

No new problems is something Helix will gladly take.
Obi-Wan’s cloak is still laid out across it and Rex wraps himself up in the worn brown fabric before laying down.
Rex is aware that he should forgive the other man, for his own sake if nothing else, even if their friendship never fully goes back to the way that it was, but he struggles to feel charitable towards a man that keeps trying to commiserate with him over Obi-Wan’s disappearance when he’s directly responsible for it and Obi-Wan is still missing.

and i apologize if this is maybe an unsatisfactory answer lol, but basically, the starting concept for this whole au was–what if i took the existing stewjoni fanon and cranked it up to eleven? i started with the idea idea of stewjoni people being capable of parthenogenesis and worked backwards from there–what sorts of environmental pressures would have to exist for a species to ‘invest’ in that sort of reproductive strategy, that sort of thing. and then once i decided on 'volcanic hell planet’, i derived some of his other traits from that–other things they might need to survive in that environment.
admittedly, though, stewjoni being extremophiles was also inspired in part just by my beloved obi-wan being an unkillable cockroach lol.

I also got this one from @loverboy-havocboy, so hello and thank you to you both 😘😘
So I think Foelu is probably the obvious one, here. It’s the biggest thing I’ve written and finished to date, with some of the most complex world-building and plotting I’ve ever done. Foelu is a unique spin on the popular Stewjoni fanon trope, where rather than being dualsex, Obi-Wan is Dichogamous–meaning that his sex can change based on environmental factors such as population ratio–and capable of parthenogenesis. Foelu is also a poly fic, with Obi-Wan ending up with Cody, Waxer, Boil, Rex, and Helix, and I think I did a really good job balancing them and keeping everybody true to their characters.
This is a series and not a specific fic, but I wrote They Told Me I Couldn’t Bag A Jedi for SubCody Week, and I’m very proud of it. I think it’s a lot of fun, and the delicious fuckin’ bottom and sub!Cody content this fandom sorely needs more of. I also think there’s some really good ace rep with the way I wrote Obi-Wan in this, and I’m proud of that.
I’m gonna go with home (is where you build it) for my third one even though it’s very much still in the works, because I think it’s a love letter to non-traditional families and I love that. The romantic ship is Obi-Wan/Cody, but their other relationships are just as important–their families, and also Obi-Wan’s queerplatonic relationship with Quinlan. I’m also really proud of the representation with Obi-Wan’s anxiety and OCD in this one.

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?
Oh, absolutely. There were several occasions where I had an idea for where the plot could go that I actively chose not to pursue because I wanted Foelu, ultimately, to be fun. But there is definitely a universe out there where it is a straight up darkfic 😇
12: What do you like least about this fic?
Oh man this one really is a toughy, because for the most part I am really proud of how Foelu turned out. I think if I could go back and change anything (which I acknowledge isn’t really the same question), I would have it maybe be a little less Obi-Wan centric and have his partners be a little more active participants in the plot itself.

Thank you so much for stopping in and letting me know, it always makes me really happy that people enjoy my works enough to reread them, and your compliments are so so sweet ❤️❤️ I definitely am planning on doing some more little pieces and vignettes and stuff at least for Foelu in the future because I do really enjoy that universe! I have no plans for a full sequel, though.

For Foelu snippets stuff (if you're still doing) -- I adored how you handled Obi-Wan's dysphoria in the story. Do you have anything about him getting his implant back or his dysphoria settling or, idk. I just kind of crave some resolution to Obi-Wan's lack of agency over his body and the dysphoria situation. I hope that made sense. Thanks!
