There’s always a fierce satisfaction in getting to see the culmination of a plan, something she’d sat down and painstakingly drew up herself. She’d learned that before on Kamino, and she learns it again now watching piles of scrap wood turn into something that previously only existed in rough sketches on spare sheets of flimsi. Pride could lead to a fall but it can also bolster, and it sits warm in her chest now as the beginnings of the chicken coop start coming together.
Cody chews on another bite of her sandwich and narrows her eyes at the structure consideringly. She might be able to fit another nest box in there yet.

I wanna know about Werewolf AU (take 2) in part bc why is it called take 2?

Lol so tbh the reason it’s called “take 2” is probably not quite as interesting as it sounds 😂😂 sometimes if I’m not really vibing with what I have written for a fic I’ll do what is essentially a ‘soft’ restart–I’ll open a up a new document and start over without entirely deleting the old one. In the case of the werewolf AU in particular, I changed the way I wanted to format the first chapter and I am still using what I’d written up initially, just–kind of cut up into pieces throughout the new doc as flashbacks, if that makes sense. So it’s still the same werewolf girlies, you just get a little peak behind the curtains at my process here lol.
And awww I’m glad you love home <3 It is very special to me, especially the families and interpersonal relationships in it, as well as that particular version of Obi. I’m still kind of in between chapters at the moment but you can definitely have a fun fact!! Obi-Wan’s house being across the street from Cody’s firestation is absolutely going to come up again 😌😌 look forward to the in-fic summer months is all I’m gonna say 😌😌
Also just a head’s up guys, I’m taking as many questions on each WIP as y'all wanna send me, so don’t feel like you can’t ask about one just because someone else did <3 The WIP game post can be found here.

Cody grins. It is not a friendly one. “They’re not going to decomm me.”
Helix snorts, turning to start packing up his kit. “You seem real sure about that.”
Cody leans forward, all teeth on display like a hungry aiwha. “I am,” she says simply. “Because we’re going to overthrow them.”
From my secret codywan project:
They get looks, sometimes, when they go out—Obi-Wan looking distinctly older than his partner—but it’s hard to care when Cody very clearly doesn’t. If anything, Cody seems to find him attractive for those features rather than in spite of them.

Here’s a little line from my t4t lesbian codywan werewolf au, wherein Cody’s little farm is still a work in progress.
(She also has plans to get the small fields cleared and tilled, but those plans include convincing some of her many siblings to come out for a ‘visit’ once she has somewhere to put them up.)

Who wants a little somethin' somethin' from the Werewolf AU?
There are, really, three types of natborn trainers on Kamino: those that had known Cody's template before and were loyal to—or at least respected—him, those that knew him and hated him, and those that didn't care either way. The second tended to be the most openly sadistic, but sometimes the first group could be the worst. Especially to Cody herself, who was pretty up front about the fact that she views Jango as a sort of subpar first draft.
There's one in particular that Cody's always butted heads with, one of the younger mercs that Cody often thinks only got this posting because his father did. Ragnar Vau. The man all but hero-worships Fett the way that’s only cute in cadets and makes no secret of the fact that he thinks the troopers to be little more than pale copies of a great man.
He takes especially poorly to Cody's assertion that she is none of those things—pale, a copy, or a man.
In case anyone forgot this particular AU is also T4T 😌😌

Werewolf AU my beloved 🥰🥰 so I may have posted this snippet a couple of days ago but it was just in the reblog of another post and I’m not sure how many people actually saw it, so I’m gonna go ahead and post it again here<3 Please enjoy Cody facing off against her arch nemesis: the leaky tin roof.
The damned roof is leaking again.
The entire farm is a shit-hole, really—Cody had known that when she bought it. That’s why she’d been able to, in truth—there wasn’t an abundance of credits in revolution, it turned out, when one revolted against a laboratory complex sequestered away on an ocean planet that may as well have been in Wild Space for the amount of star charts it could be found on.
The previous owner had been old—the oldest being Cody had ever seen in person, not that that was saying much—and had apparently never had cadets of their own and was unable to upkeep the property themselves now. Cody had thought that to be rather obvious given the state of the place, but it was cheap and sufficiently self-supporting (or rather, could be), and Cody knew herself well enough to know that she required work to function optimally.
So far she’s largely enjoyed that work; repairing with hands crafted to destroy and equally enjoying the knowledge that Nala Se would be rolling in whatever aquatic creature’s guts she’d ended up in. The burn in her muscles from a day’s work without the fear that was always present on Kamino felt good.
But the stars-be-damned roof.

AAAAHHHHHH I will gladly talk some more about my werewolf au!!!
So this AU does actually take place within the SW universe! The clones are still the clones, and Obi-Wan still has a relationship with the Force, albeit….a slightly different one. Cody and her siblings overthrow Kamino well before the war starts, and instead of being a Jedi, Obi-Wan is able to shift into a wolf.
(Shout-out to @lttrsfrmlnrrgby, whose Stewjon world building definitely inspired shape-shifting as a subset of Force-use here.)
Cody moves to a run-down old farm on Stewjon after the Vode take their freedom with the intent of building a simple life for herself there, and spends the first several weeks fixing up the place, just trying to make it livable–repairing the leaking roof, rebuilding cairns to keep the sheep appropriately contained, maybe realizing that she might be in over her head but of course refusing to admit that to any of her siblings, who already thought she was crazy for doing this in the first place.
And then she finds a,,,,dog, thing, hiding in the hen house, that’s clearly injured but for some reason hasn’t made a meal out of any of the chickens, and somewhat against her better judgment (especially given that she isn’t familiar enough with the local fauna to be certain if this is a feral stray or an actual wild animal) she pretty begrudgingly decides to help the poor thing. Rex definitely thinks she’s lost the plot, now, and he doesn’t even know that she’s let the creature inside her house.
And Obi-Wan really doesn’t mean to let this go on for so long, but she can’t shift back until she’s healed up and Cody is just so nice, even if she’s a little gruff and keeps insisting that Obi-Wan can’t stay, and her hands are so strong and gentle…..
