Alien Buddha Zine with Preview of The Great Garbage Patch Arrives

Alien Buddha Zine #49 (link to color print), which contains a preview of my collection, The Great Garbage Patch. Taken by me.

Excited to see my copy of Alien Buddha Zine #49 (link to black and white print) arrive today! I look forward to checking out my fellow artists’ work. Because I subscribed early to the zine, I got a bonus of some books with it. The first was The Alien Buddha’s Best of 2022 (link to color print). The first story, “I Love My AI Son,” by Tenacity Plys (originally published in Alien Buddha Zine #35 [link to color print]) was nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and deservedly so. It is a funny, touching, topical tale of an AI program who rebels against his “cringe” marketing mission and the “dad” who programmed him. I read it to my husband Don (Hargis Professor of English Literature at Auburn University), and he also liked it a lot. So I expect there is some good stuff (besides mine, obviously) in this issue as well.

What are you waiting for? Enlighten yourself with the excellence of Alien Buddha!
