Iran stops being the arsonist and gains a financial stake in keeping the region stable—a raison d’être to behave properly.
Funny, as if Iran has started all of this, lol
Just realised this mf doesn’t know what raison d’etre means
Edit: Also brilliant logic. If an arsonist wants to torch your home, give em a financial stake in it.
The ceasefire is likely a scam so that America and Israel can load up on baby-killing ordinances. Iran operating a toll booth without being interfered with does not seem to be a stable and tenable situation with the rabies-addled zionist entity at its door.
after the war, Tehran should pivot into a financial mechanism that serves its long-term interests. Iran should not deepen its dependency on Chinese financial infrastructure. It should rejoin the global economic system on terms that give it stability and credibility. That means U.S. dollars.
Yes. Collect toll in a currency they cannot use. That will give them stability and credibility.
Yeah, I laughed at that too. It’s pretty obvious Iran isn’t going to collect USD here. It’s basically a cope article trying to paint a narrative where the US isn’t a total loser. As far as the ceasefire goes, I imagine Iranians are smart enough to realize they can’t trust Americans. If they’re agreeing to it, then it means they’re going to use that time to their own advantage too. For example, they can probably get more supplies from China and Russia, improve their AD based on what they’ve learned, and so on. The damage that was done to US infrastructure can’t be repaired in a few weeks nor can the weapon stocks be replenished, so it’s not like the US will be in a significantly better position by then.
Interestingly, one of the biggest winners in the region from this war could be Oman. They emerged practically unscathed from this war, with all their infrastructure intact, and they suddenly get a cut from the Hormuz toll system that Iran will set up.
Of course, tourism and international investment would likely take a hit, as with every other country in the region, but I think the new toll would more than make up for those losses, and they can take direct advantage of increased oil prices with their undamaged oil infrastructure.
Oman followed the whole do nothing, win approach here. :)
i wish that strategy also worked within the united states. lol
lol yeah
I’m still curious as to why Iran decided to spare Oman. I was always under the impression that Oman is fully onboard with the GCC bullshit
Oman plays both sides more than other Gulf countries. I think this may be why
I think because they weren’t directly participating in the attacks on Iran like the others were
