Hola!
I am in Spain, and just today found out the model of my AC (it鈥檚 very difficult to access). It鈥檚 a Fujitsu General ARH 45 LUAN split system.
I was thinking of getting a smart controller for it, but so far I have been unsuccessful figuring out if there is a smart solution for this AC - native or third party - so I would be grateful for any tips and ideas.
EDIT: The AC is a duct type system with just a wall-mounted control (no IR receiver).
I don鈥檛 know anything about that specific model, but one option for most mini split and window AC units is to get a smart IR blaster.
This system doesn鈥檛 have an AC receiver - it鈥檚 a duct type system and only has a wired wall-mounted panel. I edited my original post to add this detail :) Thanks!
Can you send a picture of the wiring behind the control panel? If it is standard wiring for a furnace/AC, then you could use any smart thermostat like Nest, Zigbee, etc.
This. Smart thermostats are pretty straightforward to install.
I sure hope this is the case, then! :)
Would this only require removing the screws and opening the panel? If so, I can do it :)
Yeah, there should just be some colored wires behind it that correspond to heating/cooling. If you look up the instructions for wiring up a Google Nest, it should have a few different configurations that correspond to different systems, and likely one of them will match what you find!
Just don鈥檛 forget to turn off the breaker before you pull it off!
