1978 (2024) plot:

Oh, remember that film ‘Argentina, 1985’ (2022), centering around a trial about the last Argentinian anti-communist U.S backed reactionary military junta’s detainment, torture, and killing, under the guise of interrogation?

Well, this is a horror film of what if its torturers’ atrocities happened to the wrong people, whose ties to higher powers beyond mortal Earth would soon flip the script and unleash hell onto those fascist torturers.

This film was directed by Luciano and Nicolas Onetti, and produced by Black Mandala Productions. Redcuban1959, eat your heart out for this Latin American shenanigans (mind I hear some facts from you)

Dreadful subject aside, let’s check on next palate cleanser

Maximum Overdrive (1986) plot:

Due to some alien comet falling onto Earth, it controls all of Earth’s tech and uses it to kill humans. Written, directed, and cameo-starred by Stephen King, this inept movie, to say the least, demonstrates why King would not make another adaptation of his own stories and why being on coke during production is definitely bad for you, when doing something like writing or special effects.

This movie’s not hilariously bad - OOF…

A scene shows multiple pages torn from pornographic magazines. It is shown while a real child wakes the man up, in full view of the child actor.

Violence Et Gore: Severe

A dead woman is shown hanging half out of her bedroom window with a hairdryer cord wrapped around her neck and holding on her hairdryer. In the uncut version, there is a precursor of this that shows her getting ready for the day, and her hairdryer begins to float telekinetically, and strangles her with the cord. It blows hot air in her face and she dies.

In the cockpit of an ice cream truck, we see its driver’s dead body tucked in between the seat and driver door. (uncut version only)

A woman is shot to death, you see the bullets hitting and blood soaking her clothes. A woman is killed by her airbag while she is driving her car.

Many cars flip over when a draw bridge goes up while people are driving on it. Many people fall off the bridge or get ran over.

A man is hit by a semi-truck. Blood flies out of his chest and head. We later see the semi truck with blood on the front of the grill.

A woman’s hand and foot are cut open by a turkey knife. Blood is on her arms/feet and the knife.

A man is killed when a soda machine shoots a can at his head. Blood is seen on his head.

A young boy is run over by a steamroller. The normal version shows him being run over with no blood, but the rare unrated edition shows his head exploding. In either version, his death is very clearly seen on camera, and is very disturbing.

A man is electrocuted to death.

Profanity: Moderate

A selling machine calls a man an asshole.

When a death is about to happen loud intense music plays may scare younger viewers.

A dog is seen dead by a curb with a toy police car in its mouth with blood dripping out of its mouth.

A truck with a spider man villain face may scare kids.

a 9-year-old boy is run over by a steamroller

A man in ditch screams for help. We then hear one final scream and a truck horn. It is implied he was run over by a semi truck offscreen.
