The showing was amazing and inspiring, but if they didn’t win the thing they were fighting for, then we need to learn a lesson from that too. Thanks for pushing back.
Deathbed regret is not working more! Text too small to read! Fighting demonic forces!

Edit: I’m not sure why I’m being upvoted. Yes, the “35-hour” protests were amazing, but turns out they did not win the thing they wanted. The law was fucked with in exactly the way that the government said it would fuck with it, and they pushed it through by force.
It was this red kelpy blood clot that would come out of swimming pool drains and shower drains and kill children. I don’t know anything else about it than that, but it got me good. I don’t remember the pinball 😹
The Are You Afraid of the Dark episode with the drain monster. Couldn’t stand on the drain in the shower for about 8 years afterward.

Hah! No, I’m just curious. That makes a lot more sense if you’re writing articles and reviews, too. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity!
What do you track? In a notebook I just write title, author, and when i read it.
tamal3@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a TV series that you really, really liked and would enthusiastically recommend?2·1 month agoI don’t know Owl House, but I am 36 and watch Bluey when I’m sick or can’t sleep.
Edit: Okay, I watched a preview for the Owl House, and that makes me remember how amazing a job Critical Role is doing at their animated series. It’s so fucking good. And they curse all the time, so it’s definitely not for kids?
tamal3@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a TV series that you really, really liked and would enthusiastically recommend?2·1 month agoGood to know. Amazing how much racism we allowed pre-2000. I mostly remember the different spellings of faulty towers at the beginnings of the episodes.
tamal3@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a TV series that you really, really liked and would enthusiastically recommend?4·1 month agoEr… Freaks and Geeks? I’m trying to watch Stranger Things but its just Too Much, so I might be extra nostalgic. Also Star Trek. All of them, but especially Next Gen (obviously) and Deep Space Nine. Haha! I don’t watch much television.
I also really like the short videos by City Nerd and Not Just Bikes, but that’s not fiction.
Edit: I’d like to add the Critical Role animated series. They are doing such a good job. Can I also add Bluey for when you’re feeling sick?? Not exactly a series I’d sit down and watch, but it is seven minutes of greatness.
