The only way it’s possible is if the farmer can rely on it for a full day’s work, and then charge it reliably over night for tomorrow with never needing to worry about it running out of power during the work. I’d say battery technology is pretty close, but I do really believe we’ll need solid state batteries for it to scale.

I still think buying a used Bolt '23 is the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life. I’m extremely happy to hear they’re producing more (even if it’s only the EUV variant). Charging infrastructure is slogging in many parts of the US, but I still think people should seriously consider getting one. Having to charge once a week cyclically is actually an enjoyable experience, I’m lucky enough to be able to do it while grocery shopping. For people who have a garage? Easy, just get a L2 charger and you’ll never have to worry about charging ever again. The only thing that remains is range anxiety, but I never plan on driving my car far out of the city I live in.
Great question, thank you. Yes. I am experimenting with side lighting, as in the image the plant is raised up on a shelf, such that it can fall to the side, thus giving it more surface area to be exposed to the light rather than just directly above.
Yes I consistently Pick off the largest leaves. Probably my favorite tasting plant, and extremely strong grower so I never feel like I’m harming it.

Oh yea I agree that it’s going to have a negative impact on people’s immediate quality of life. But the short term bad financial consequences are going to be much better than the long term bleed of growing emissions and climate change. We are terrible at perceiving external slow changes, so it’s better that we experience the volatility of a dirty source of energy quickly.
