There’s this thing with a strait that seems to suggest otherwise.

Gladu is no red tory. The CPC is very much her ideological home. We’re talking a reactionary who is against abortion, against vaccination, etc. who almost certainly ended her chances of getting re-elected with this move. She didn’t cross without being offered something.
There’s basically no reason for this one to cross the floor unless she was promised something in return. Considering I’m at odds with her on more or less any topic you care to name, I’m definitely not going to like whatever that is.
She’d probably fit in with the Greens, especially during May’s “wifi causes cancer” days.
That’s…A crazy reach. Gladu is a reactionary who definitely fit very well in the CPC. This is like if Leslyn Lewis or Rachel Thomas or someone like that crossed the floor.
Turns out the only thing Carney values is power. Was that in his book?
Sorry I don’t know how to teach having a poor memory.
Uh, 27. I can’t remember the last time I opened one.
I’m not calling the NDP racist, I’m calling you racist.
Most people I think would agree it would be nice if we were a country mostly made up of native born citizens
And boy did I call it. I don’t care about my fellow citizen’s birthplace much at all, to be honest.
Complaining that there are more brown people than there used to be is a really weird angle of attack to show that.
Sure, one of those charts noting that white people make up a smaller percentage of Canada than they did in the 70’s and suggesting that was a sign of Canada’s decline. What could that possibly mean?
After you posted that blog earlier whining about the share of white people in Canada being less than it was in the 70’s I find that very difficult to believe.
When rail was first built across Canada it was done when Canada had a population of ~4 million and preceded most of our development. That’s what “nation building” infrastructure is about. Transportation infrastructure in particular has a huge role to play in developing that low density space.
How fortunate for Carney to have this guy as an opponent.
His victory speech was great. I think he will do well.
You’re here to propagandize, your opinion is worthless.
I’m supposed to abhor this war and condemn it everywhere, but why can’t I bring myself to do so?
Over time, I’ve come to understand something that once puzzled me when I heard about Cuban exiles decades ago: sometimes the desire for change becomes so overwhelming that even terrifying possibilities begin to feel like the only remaining path forward.
This is absolutely a pro-war article with a few throwaway sentences suggesting that war is horrible so it doesn’t look totally out to lunch, but coming to the conclusion that it will be worth it in the end. Well I witnessed the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and let me tell you, it is not going to be worth it in the end. I don’t care how many Iranian diaspora you dig up to tell me that it will be. It is moronic to believe the US’ aim here is anything benevolent.
Frankly, it’s pretty disappointing for the CBC to be printing this attempt at opinion shaping.
He’s living in Canada so I suspect he doesn’t fear the violence of war as much as Iranians living in Iran. Easy to say the bombing is worth it when there is a zero percent chance you yourself will get bombed.
It’s wild that people dig up these members of the diaspora community they can use as a pro-war token. To me it just looks like you found the biggest Iranian psycho you could manage.
You post garbage from “news” outlets like The Bureau.
…I’m not, thanks.
Rutte needs to go.
