Tanner (the tiger) is just realizing he had a whole conversation with friends that Sy (the hyena) doesn’t know yet. Tanner is going to fix that.

I’m curious, is there any incentive to play along? I’ve played games that make you choose between two rough decisions, but you’re stuck choosing. If you just choose not to, the game stalls and there’s no outside influence other than your boredom to get you to continue. Does this game have something forcing your character?
This is from a larger comic arc where the kid has lost his mother. Instead of saying something rational or comforting, Sy only increased the kid’s panic. But it’s okay, Tanner definitely knows how to make it better.
Seriously, thank you for sharing this. I’m largely in the same boat, but somehow didn’t quite link the reduced long-term anger with the increase in emotional breakdowns. It’s good to know someone else has experienced the same thing.

I think that was the intent. Sy’s character has been someone who’s been traditionally on the outside, with no close friends other than Tanner. I will at least say that there’s a happy ending to the arc and you at least get to know a few bad memories of Tanner as payment.
