I know! Lots of people died in the Crimea, it definitely should have been mentioned!

Quotas are quite illegal. That’s the disingenuous argument of someone who doesn’t like having to answer why they thought the most qualified candidate was most qualified in had talked about.
Also, you responded this to a joke about not picking the guy throwing around random sovcit accusations? Man, you two deserve each other
Well, he’s really qualified because of his podcasting. Actually, now that I think about it, that’s a theme
GarrulousBrevity@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•A straight white woman brought a discrimination case to the Supreme Court. Here's what that could mean533·1 year agoI’ve been hiring in a male dominated field for a while, and realistically, in those scenarios, you’re actually being asked to make sure you interview women at all, and if you go with a man, you need to be able to explain why the man was more qualified than the women you interviewed.
Anyone who has said they were forced to hire a woman, in my experience, has been disingenuous, and upset at the layer of accountability
GarrulousBrevity@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it irrational for me to hate and despise every single American at this point?12·1 year agoYes, because any American you meet is very unlikely to be a supporter of what’s going on. Most people’s votes don’t really seem to matter in the electoral college system, and our legislative branch hasn’t… Tried… In several decades. Which is to say, his majority vote came from a minority of the population.
That, and the minority that voted for him are so goddamn afraid of the world and everything in it that they don’t leave their communities for anything.

Most notably that it’s The party of the establishment.
It’s written as though no one could ever agree with a progressive policy, and I think that makes the author only see the DNC as too progressive for many, and blind to the fact that it’s not progressive enough for many others.
Largely, I think the DNC has become the party of status quo and Not-Trump, and clearly that isn’t good enough

From the Reuters take on the same news.
Reading through a few different sources, Trump sounds like he’s holding Hamas at fault for everything, which I can’t imagine is going to be good for anyone in Gaza
