  • It was using “–” as an em-dash out of em-dash context that sent it over the edge.

Imagine an engineer, “Really need to tighten this bolt… Toss me a hammer!”

But, you’re right. Most people online don’t live under the Grammar Nazi rule, for sake of convenience and casual comms. But in the case of this person’s own context, gawd damn. Got their major from Captain Crunch U.

  • You’re thinking of society first and not as who you are. If you were born the only person earth, you wouldn’t have an labels, expectations, etc. as the opinions and rules of others never existed.

You’re a custom model; we all are. Don’t be surprised if you’re into things that don’t match the labels people put on you or you put on yourself. Those labels are all made up generic shit anyway.

You can conclude on being whatever you want today but it won’t change the fact that you’ll experience and feel things tomorrow that mismatch the conclusion. That’s what being a conscious lifeform is all about. And not getting eaten.

  • Today I made a widget on my phone that logs the tracks I play and drums via BT in the ekit. Once the session done it pushes the txt file to my PC while I eject the SD card with the drum recordings in it and plug it into the PC. I then run a session script that pairs the drum tracks to the music track log, clears the SD, and catalogues everything in my production folder, while also building an MD in my Obsidian vault that outlines all the audio and lets me write notes on each or about how the session went. The file structure is obv Reaper friendly for when I want to multi track everything back together.

This took almost all day. Because writing down what track I was listening to when I saved a recording has just been so much effort up until now /s.

I’m sure it’ll pay the time deficit back over a decade.

  • Work at a university; try telling that to the academics. Some of them are phenomenally simple. They may be convinced of intellectual superiority because they’re a world expert in frog genders, but they struggle to solve simple problems or absorb reasoning without having it dumbed down.

A university is like a daycare for those adults. And the trantrums and toy throwing they have with each other, oh my god. Daily I wonder how some of these people would survive if they ever had to leave school.
