Snowman Christmas Tree

Image
I have been wanting to make a snowman Christmas tree for a while and I finally did it. She turned out prefect. I love her ! I started with an old 6 foot tree, garland, a wreath, table covers (I found at Wal-mart $2.50 a pack), hat, ribbon, scarf, 3 old pillows, tape, grocery plastic bags, buttons boots, lights and ornaments. I made the head with pillows and bags and wrapped them with the table covering.  I had pulled the limbs up to form a circle but it was not very full. So I added a wreath around the neck area. The middle and bottom section is shaped with pillows and bags and the tables cover is formed around it. Garland is added to the middle and bottom to make more greenery.  The eyes are made with black yarn glued in a spiral, with false eye lashes. The nose is a construction paper cone with orange yarn glued to it. The mouth are buttons and the cheeks are blush.

Starting School 2014 ( Classical Conversations)

We have started Classical Conversations this year. Caity is in the Challenge B program and Colton and Cheyanne will be doing Foundations with me. I do not know exactly what I am doing, but I have researched a ton and I'm going to give it a try. Here is our Week 1 Memory Board for Cycle 3: Here is Caity's Latin Declension board: Chey relaxing with Curley. We are also are starting state notebooks since the kids have to learn the states and their capitals. If you need information on individual states you can go here and there are links to all 50 states to get the information guides.
